# Contributing

Use the [README](README.md) for setup, asset conventions and deployment details.
This file covers the contribution workflow and points to that guidance.

## Open a merge request

1. Create an issue-prefixed branch such as `2951-asset-library-homepage`.
2. Follow the relevant asset README and update its documentation. Add new
discovery entry points to [llms.txt](llms.txt) when needed.
3. Run `npm test` and check the affected assets or pages locally. Include the
related issue and validation results in an MR targeting `main`; enable squash
on merge and removal of the source branch.

Use commit subjects such as `undrr/web-backlog#2951: Describe the change.`
Do not include AI-assistant attribution or session trailers. Enable the
repository's commit-message hook with `git config core.hooksPath .githooks`.
